Edward Wright

When a client experiences a WBW massage, they can expect a thorough and thought through massage. The massage is customized each session. Muscles are handled with care, specifically and individually stretched. Creating a space of personal comfort, relaxation, and a state of well-being.

 

Edward Wright the proud owner of WBW is a native from Augusta, Georgia and has lived in Charlotte for over thirteen years. He is a graduate of Voorhees College in Denmark, SC, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Recreation (2005).

Edward later graduated from Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Therapy in February 2008, where he became Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB), and is recognized as a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (LMBT) in North Carolina.

Edward practices a wide scope of modalities including Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Sports Massage, Body Stretching, Hot/Cold Stone Massage, Swedish/Relaxation, Pre/Post-Natal Massages (1st, 2nd, 3rd tri), Lymphatic Drainage (Lactic Movement), Kinesio Taping and Cupping.

 

Since graduating from massage school and receiving his license, Edward has been employed with Massage Envy since 2008, gathering knowledge, experience, and being awarded Massage Therapist of the Year for 6 years running, Most Requested Therapist (7 years), and Most Outstanding Therapist.  Wright was rewarded and announced as Lead Therapist for the Northlake location (May 2016). As former Lead Therapist, Edward maintained a positive work environment by mentoring, fielding therapist concerns, pairing with Total Body Care Coach on new massage therapist training/orientation, assisting management and ensuring excellent client experiences.

Edward also joined the Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) Athletic staff as a volunteer massage therapist in 2013. As a volunteer therapist, Edward has witnessed and accomplished much success with the JCSU Track and Field team for 6 wonderful and grateful years, all the while educating, demonstrating, and providing services for Scholar Athletes, All-American Athletes, National Champions, World Champions and Olympians.

For his bright future, Edward plans to continue providing excellent services to future Athletes and clients of all ages in need. The Wright Bodywork and Wellness (WBW) is a massage business focusing on better Muscular Range of Motion, helping 6 out of the 11 systems of the body to function properly, while creating a Wellness vision for Eating Right, Stretching, and Exercising to sustain a space of personal comfort, relaxation, and a state of well-being for the many clients he may endure.
