Neuromuscular therapy (NMT) is a very detailed massage that focuses on the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues. The goal is to address problem areas missed in a general massage using soft tissue massage techniques such as friction, trigger point, realase and myofascial manipulation.
Neuromuscular massage therapy techniques uses the thumbs or fingerpritns to explore the tissues, and at times the elbows and forearms are used.
